# BagfileProgress.msg ## Overview `BagfileProgress.msg` contains general information about the progress of bagfile processing. It is used to report how far a run over a set of input bagfiles has advanced, both in terms of messages and elapsed time. ## Fields | Field | Type | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | `current_bagfile_name` | `string` | The name of the bagfile currently being processed. | | `current_bagfile_id` | `uint32` | The index of the currently processed bagfile within the overall set. | | `total_bagfiles` | `uint32` | The total number of bagfiles in the processing run. | | `total_messages` | `uint32` | The total number of messages across all bagfiles. | | `processed_messages` | `uint32` | The number of messages processed so far. | | `total_seconds` | `float32` | The total expected duration of the bagfiles in seconds. | | `processed_seconds` | `float32` | The amount of bagfile time processed so far in seconds. | ## Usage - Consumers can compute progress as `processed_messages / total_messages` or `processed_seconds / total_seconds`. - The message is self-contained: it reports absolute counts rather than deltas, so a consumer can reconstruct overall progress from any single sample.
